Twickenham to Brentford Cycleway - Consultation Now Open

2 July 2019

Twick Brent Cycle Route

Hounslow Council has launched a consultation on proposals to improve the existing cycle route between Ivy Bridge and London Road.

With funding from Transport for London (TfL), the aim is to create a safer, more attractive route for cyclists to and from Brentford. Falling into the Hounslow Priority Cycle Network (route 11), it offers a quiet, cleaner route for cycling in the area.

If approved, these proposals will form part of TfL’s Cycleways network, with the section in the London Borough of Hounslow forming part of a wider cycle route between Twickenham and Brentford - for which, the London Borough of Richmond will also be consulting on.

The purpose of this particular consultation is to hear your views on the proposals which can be found here - alongside the plans, detailed descriptions, overall route map, and sketches for the suggested changes.

The Council is keen for residents to look at the proposals set out, and most importantly to let us know your thoughts. This can be done online by filling out this quick survey or by coming along to one of our two dedicated drop-in sessions at:

Isleworth Public Hall
South Street
TW7 7BG

Officers will be present to discuss the proposals and answer your questions on the following dates:
- 10th July between 17:00 and 21:00
- 15th July between 14:00 and 18:00

Following the public consultation, all feedback will be summarised and presented, along with our recommendations, to your ward councillors for their consideration. Once a decision has been made, the outcome of the consultation will be available to view on the Council's website which is likely to be in Autumn 2019.

For more information and a chance to have your say, visit the official consultation page for the Twickenham to Brentford cycleway before it closes on the 29th of July 2019.
