Get cycling and enjoy Hounslow with one of our free Social Rides!
Every year Hounslow runs a number of Social Rides, led by qualified Cycle Instructors. They are free to take part in and will take you on tours throughout the borough and beyond. You don’t have to be in top shape to take part—the rides are open to cyclists of all ages and fitness.
Details of this year’s rides can be seen on the right hand side of this page and on the Events page. Each ride, which is usually 5 to 10 miles, often includes specially arranged talks at sites of interest and can last up to 2 hours. The pace is gentle and we never leave anybody behind! These rides are organised between Hounslow Cycling and Go Sky Ride.
These Social Rides are suitable for anyone who is comfortable riding and controlling a bicycle. Children are welcome to take part in some rides (see ride list for details) but must be accompanied by a guardian.
You're welcome to just turn up on the day at the stated place, date, and time with your bicycle, but we would prefer you to register your interest before the date.
If you’d like to participate in a Guided Ride but you aren’t quite as confident in your cycling skills as you’d like, why not request a free 1-on-1 cycle training session?
If you have a Guided Ride route you’d like to see or have an interesting place that can be visited by bike, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your idea.
