Hounslow and Richmond Community Rail Partnership

29 March 2023

HRCRP P RGB 72

Did you know that Hounslow is one of a select group of boroughs to have a community rail partnership in London? The Hounslow & Richmond Community Rail Partnership (HRCRP) is part of a nationwide and regional network that supports local communities and local railway services across Britain.

It is one of 70 partnership members of the Community Rail Network – a nationwide organisation dedicated to supporting volunteers and partnerships that connect communities with their local railway and deliver social benefit. The Hounslow Loop (pictured below) includes 15 local rail stations on the SWR network across the London boroughs of Hounslow and Richmond. In our borough, we have station adopter groups at Feltham and Brentford and are currently working with rail partners on an Access for All scheme at Isleworth to bring step free accessibility to the station.

In the next quarter, the HRCRP will be promoting the partnership and its links with the council at Waterloo Station’s 175th anniversary as one of the rail lines feeding into Waterloo. Information will be handed out about places to visit in Hounslow and how to explore the area by rail, foot and bike. If you’re interested in coming along or providing material at the HRCRP’s stand on the 25th May, please do get in touch
