Success for Borough's Liveable Neighbourhood Funding Bid

5 March 2019

It has been announced today that Hounslow Council has won funding from Transport for London's Liveable Neighbourhoods Programme to help improve walking and cycling in South Chiswick.

Under the proposals, a new pedestrian bridge will be built at Barnes Bridge to connect the Thames Path, access to Dukes Meadows will be improved, and cycling links to connect South Chiswick to CS9 have also been planned.

Under the Liveable Neighbourhoods Programme (the successor to Transport for London's 'Mini-Hollands' Scheme), the Mayor of London has offered almost GBP £54 million to 11 borough's this year.
