17 June 2015

Beat the street

Schools in Hounslow are preparing to SWITCH and choose walking cycling and sctooing ahead of the car to promote active journeys to and from schools. The EU funded project from SWITCH is following on from last summers successful pilot across 5 of the boroughs schools and is now being rolled out across up to 40 schools in Hounslow. Visit the SWITCH Project page on the website.

We will be rolling out two exciting games for children, parents and schools to take part and and there will be games and cross competitions between schools in the borough that are taking part. The project will be rewarding those who are using active forms of travel including walking, cycling, scooting, bus and park and stride (parking away from the school and walking the rest of the journey)

We hope to roll out the project to as many schools in the Borough, so be quick and sign up your school to take part today.

If you would like to take part in the FREE project for parents and schools contact us at: [email protected]
