Hounslow's Play Streets

Since 2017, Play Streets (residential roads that close for play at certain times of the year), have been popping up across the borough, with almost 10 Play Street applications received by Hounslow Council since January 2018!
There are many benefits of Play Streets, some of which include;
- Play Streets encourage children to be active.
- Children can play close to home and have space to play safely.
- Play Streets can bring neighbours together, increasing the sense of community.
Play Streets: the fee to close a street is usually £29.80, however this is currently FREE for residents that wish to make their street into a Play Street.
