Beat the Street Update!

26 October 2016

Schools in Hounslow are using a sustainable travel challenge to record sustainable journeys that they take. The schools are competing against one another to see who can record the most sustainable journeys as part of the challenge.

Beat the Street has already started in Hounslow and will take place until Wednesday 02 November 2016. Pick up your Beat the Street card from your local library, health or community centre across the borough to join in with the fun.

St Marys RC Primary School in Isleworth are in the lead with the highest points whilst some schools such as Gunnersbury Catholic School need to push themselves a little harder.

Follow the live leaderboards showing the schools which are currently taking part. The game is also for everyone within the local community with a number of different Beat Boxes along popular walking routes near schools, libraries, leisure centres and parks.

Please note that all children walking to school MUST walk to school and not arrive by car. It is great to see so many pupils join in however please remember that all pupils participating must WALK to school.

Keep up to date with the game and keep an eye out for special prizes with @BTSHounslow.
